Greetings all,

It’s been quite a little while since I did a non-review post. This coming week is the biggest convention in Newfoundland, I mean (of course) Sci-Fi on the Rock! Incredibly already 12 years old, returning to it’s new home the Shearton Hotel (in St. John’s, Newfoundland, if you’re not from around here). I won’t get into all the guests, but I’ll say that in particular I’m looking forward to seeing Stefan Kapicic, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and the always hilarious Fat Apollo. It will have all the usual great panels, artists, vendors, authors and of course wonderful costumes that make conventions so much fun (here in NL cos-play has really caught on, we even have people travel here just to enter our costume contest.)

Also worth checking out is my favorite Newfoundland artist, Kevin Kendall. He did a great job on the cover for my third book and fourth books and is always at his table for a chat or to sell (or make you) some great artwork. This year he is hosting a panel, check it out here!

Which brings me to my part, this year I return in all my table glory (please come to check out my fourth novel “The Chaos Stories“) I will be on the schedule doing my newly named and updated panel “Writing, Publishing and Promotion, oh my!” This year it will be Sunday April 8th at 3:30 pm in the Plymouth Room.

I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention the great peeps (as the cool kids say) at Engen Books. Including Paul Carberry, Matthew LeDrew, Ali HouseAmanda Labonté, Ellen Curtis and Christopher Walsh (just to name a few!). I’m looking forward to picking up Fantasy from the Rock (which sold at the last time I tried to get it) and Chillers from the Rock.

Sci-fi on the Rock opens on Friday April 6th and runs until Sunday April 8th. You can check out the schedule here, hope to see you there!
