Details from IMDB:
When her boyfriend dumps her before their exotic vacation, a young woman persuades her ultra-cautious mother to travel with her to paradise, with unexpected results.
I didn’t want to see this movie. Just wanted to get that out there, I would never normally see a movie with such a bat rating and terrible reviews. I do, however, take my wife to a lot of comic book and other movies she doesn’t want to see, so it was finally her turn and I went (I also wish I was somewhere where I could buy drinks during the movie!).
I’m really not saying much here. Goldie Hawn is better than this movie and she should have waited for something more worthy but she didn’t. Amy Schumer (who can be funny) just likes getting paid I’m sure. The only thing I’ll say is I did laugh maybe 6 times and it wasn’t as terrible as I thought it would be. I suppose if you want some mother-daughter bonding time this could be a good way to do it.
For almost everyone, don’t go to this movie! It’s mostly just an unfunny, boring mess. Goldie Hawn looks good for her age and Amy Schumer does have a few moments. I’ll be generous and give this a 5 out of 10. Not for children, nudity, lots of language and some violence, ages 17+. Just see anything else, I’m sure you’ll have a better time.
