Initial Thoughts:
It’s almost Christmas and as part of the deal I made with my wife she went to Star Wars: Rogue One (review coming soon!) and I agreed to this. I knew it was going to suck but I’ve seen bad movies before (and ones I knew would be way worse than this). Without being too negative it does have Jennifer Aniston (who is always fun to watch) and Jason Bateman (who is also quite funny).
Main Points:
It’s not really that anything is bad about this movie (well there is some male nudity which I didn’t need to see) it’s just very simple, predictable and ultimately not even that funny. I’ll admit I laughed maybe 5 or 6 times. I spent most of the time just waiting for Jennifer’s scenes, she is funny, gorgeous and probably the best part of this movie.
Even thought the film is only an hour and forty-five minutes, I still got bored and it felt dragged out. I won’t say the ending but you see it coming from a mile away. It’s harmless, adult, fun and may have more appeal to people who work in a large corporation/office building (I don’t, I’m a co-owner.)
Final Thoughts:
I give it a 6 out of 10. If your significant other wants to go and agrees to do something for you in return, than at least you’ll also get a few laughs out of it. Otherwise I just can’t recommend this, there is so much better stuff out there or even home on Netflix. If you do go please don’t bring children, ages 18+ for sexuality, language and nudity.
