Happy Friday all,

In case you don’t live in Newfoundland (or don’t regularly read my post) maybe you didn’t here that there is a convention next weekend here in St. John’s! Of course I’m talking about Avalon Expo 3!

AvalonExpo3SidewaysAside from all the wonderful guests, panels, artists and vendors , you can also check me out. I’ll be giving a talk on writing, publishing and vampires this Sunday at 2 pm and I will be in a multi-author panel on Saturday at 4pm. There’s lots of other great panels as well all easily accessible here.

Aside from my talk I’ll be selling my usual assortment of comics, Magic cards, merchandise, book 1 to 3 of my Newfoundland Vampire series and my newest venture “The Chaos Stories“. For the first time ever I have published a collection of short-stories! Not only that but to show I love my fans there are deleted chapters from my Newfoundland Vampire series and two preview chapters of book 4. As if all that wasn’t enough I’ve also included works from other authors that are part a group I am in, Four Phoenixes Publishing. I’d also like to say my book would not be possible if it were not for my new (and most excellent) editor Heather Reily. If you ever need editing services (or want to check out her books) you can do so here.

AvalonExpo3SidewayswithGuestsAlso as always I’ll have some free snacks and I’ll always give a discount to anyone who buys two or more books.

The guest can be seen to the left. Deep Space Nine was always a show I loved (the best Star Trek show IMHO). As I also thought Odo was a great character I am really looking forward to meeting Rene Auberjonois. It is unfortunate that Sean Gunn can no longer make it, but I’m confident it will still be a great convention and hopefully we can get him another time.

(Above artwork is by the super-talented Kevin Kendall )  I was so happy with the work he did on my last book that I made certain to get him back for my first short-story collection. Excellent artist, great guy, very accommodating, do yourself a favor and use Kendallight Studios who any artistic needs you may have.

So come out on this weekend, August 25th to the 27th. The doors open at 11 am Friday (at the new location, Mile One Center!) It’s sure to be a great weekend of geeky fun and adventure!
